In Honduras' Santa Barbra department, deep coffee roots anchor Alma Pineda to her El Cederal farm. Born into a long line of farmers and married to a CoE winning producer (Evin Moreno), Alma takes coffee tradition and innovates it with her relentless spirit.

After spending two years abroad in Spain to earn funding, Alma returned to Honduras and her family deciding to plant a pilot crop of 100% Paraneima. It's a hybrid varietal of Timor and Villa Sarchi that offers resistance to coffee leaf rust, and that can thrive at lower elevations. While Paraneimas have been generalized as lacking complexity, Alma's close attention to her 1400-1500masl crop and tedious washed process presents an exception to reckon with this misconception.

This is our second-year working with Alma. And we extended (and expanded)* our relationship with her reaping another dazzling coffee. With bright complexity of cantaloupe and green apple, this washed offering maintains lightness as it concludes sweetly with a cotton candy delight.

All orders are roasted on Monday through Thursday and are shipped on the same day if order is received by noon on the day the order is placed, otherwise it will ship on the following day. Orders received after Thursday will be pushed to the following roast day.
