Oaxaca Lot #1 (of 3 lots we purchased from the South Mexican state) comes to us from Ozolotepec. Lot #1 grew on rugged, mountainous terrain that stretches upwards of 2100 masl. Perched near the Pacific coast, the typica lots found here would historically be sold off and blended into obscurity, but recently smaller farmers in the area have begun offering lots to smaller buyers. The result is a delicious coffee from a historically coffee rich community finally getting long due showcasing.
In this Lot #1, red fruits come forward with apple acidity and a grape finish bridged by a delicious round cocoa sweetness.
All orders are roasted on Monday through Thursday and are shipped on the same day if order is received by noon on the day the order is placed, otherwise it will ship on the following day. Orders received after Thursday will be pushed to the following roast day.
