Remigio “Remi” Castellanos is a farmer and a former coffee roaster for El Dorao- a roastery owned by members of the Paz Family- owners of Beneficio San Vicente in Santa Barbara Honduras. Remi’s farm Finca Genesis- named so after our recommendation sits at an altitude of 1.9030 masl growing 100% Yellow Catuai.

Currently, Remi’s farm is our highest altitude Direct Trade relationship in El Cielito, Honduras and sits on a steep slope of the Santa Barbara mountain range that springs from the edge of Lago de Yojoa, a place that is  world renowned as a source of exceptional coffee. These cooler temperatures, which hover around 70’s degrees in the daylight and 30F in the evening, contribute to slow the maturation process of the coffee, yielding a flavor that is unique in its complexity.
