Started by Jorge Vides in 1958, the Vides Family farm is now run by his daughter Maria Elena and her son Renardo “Nayo” Ovalle. Tucked away in the lush valleys of the edge of Huehuetenango, growing conditions are perfect to produce large, ripe cherries brimming with rich sweetness and deep fruit notes. The Vides family uses their years of processing knowledge to mill and dry the coffee, creating a coffee that is clean, crisp, and expressive. This lot is a fantastic example of this level of expertise and care combined with the perfect terroir of Huehuetenango.
El Puente highlights our favorite qualities of Guatemalan coffee. In the cup we taste crisp gala apple and creamy milk caramel balanced by fresh lime zest.
