El Brujo returns for its seventh year. We are honored to share this coffee from Metric's producing partner and dear friend, the legendary Benjamin paz. This washed parainema reflects Paz's expertise with its soft stonefruit, sweet citrus, and confectionary qualities.
With its name coming from Honduran folklore of a supernatural tree, El Brujo – the wizard – is a magical lot of coffee. The unique climate around Benjamin's farm outside of El Cedral produces coffee that behaves like a much higher elevation lot. Its slowed maturation lends this coffee dense sugars and complex acidity. Under the watchful care of Paz and farm manager Elias Menza, this paraneima varietal expresses some of the best qualities of Honduran coffee. It is both balanced and strongly expressive, underlaid by a lasting sweetness.
El Brujo celebrates the sweetness of this long standing relationship and the award winning passion of Benjamin Paz. In the cup, we taste ripe apricot, sweet pomelo, and cloud-like whipped cream.

As an Independent Specialty Coffee Roaster, we always pay well above the C-Market based on two factors; the quality of coffee and the cost of production.
