Honduras La Montañita is a fruit forward coffee grown by husband and wife Evin Moreno and Alma Pineda. Coming from one of our favorite central american growing regions, this coffee structured notes shine.
On their farm La Montañita outside of El Cedral, Alma and Evin produce some of the highest quality coffees in Honduras. The pacas in this lot is a relative of the famed bourbon variety, displaying similar big fruit flavors and deep sugars. Throughout the growing season, husband and wife pour love into their land, ensuring the sweetest cherries ripen perfectly for harvest. After picking, this lot was washed and sundried to ensure a balanced profile with clear sugars and delicate acidity.
La Montañita expresses the best fruit notes of pacas with the sweetness of Evin and Alma's deep love for coffee. In the cup we taste makrut lime, panela, and yellow plum.
