The Metric Artist Series is a collaborative project, bridging the gap between sonic landscapes and the physical worlds of music and coffee. Our inaugural collaboration celebrates the beautiful artistry and sound of our friends This Will Destroy You.
An enthusiast of fine coffee, Chris King of This Will Destroy You, together with Metric, meticulously cupped coffees from several origins, landing on one beautiful & unique coffee for our collaboration. El Rejo Geisha, from producer Jose Rivera, is full of flavor with an expansive palette, serving to connect the evolving and expressive scapes This Will Destroy You delivers sonically, with one that you can taste.
El Rejo Geisha, a unique coffee originating from the San Ignacio district, specifically the village of Ihuamaca in northern Peru, is meticulously cultivated by Jose Rivera, the producer, exporter, and CEO of Origin Coffee Lab. The 5-hectare expanse of El Rejo encompasses a harmonious blend of Bourbon, Catimor, Caturra, and Geisha varieties, showcasing the rich diversity of the region.

Quality means buying high quality coffees from established producers around the world.
Traceability gives recognition to the producers and validates where the coffee is grown, picked, and processed.
We endeavor to contextualize the importance of a fair and balanced trade through the prices we pay.
As an Independent Specialty Coffee Roaster, we always pay well above the C-Market based on two factors; the quality of coffee and the cost of production.
A fair wage begins with paying higher premiums to the coffee producer in tandem with providing competitive wages and benefits for our staff here at Metric.
