Using ancestral knowledge, wise yachachichi (shaman) would holistically look at all of nature, the plants, the wildlife, etc. for indication, information, or warning, for willay. These sage foresights, the willay, offered Peruvian farmers preemptive, mystical guides for higher volume and quality crops.*
