Position Summary:

The Barback/Porter supports daily café operations by keeping the bar and service areas stocked, clean, and organized. This role ensures that baristas and front-of-house staff can focus on preparing drinks and serving guests efficiently.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Stock and replenish café supplies (milk, syrups, coffee beans, teas, ice, cups, lids, napkins, straws).
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, café floor, and storage areas.
  • Wash, sanitize, and restock glassware, dishes, and smallwares.
  • Assist baristas with prep tasks such as cutting fruit, restocking dairy/alt milks, and organizing garnishes.
  • Clear and wipe down tables, counters, and service areas as needed.
  • Remove trash, recycling, and compost throughout the day.
  • Support back-of-house with deliveries, storage, and inventory rotation.
  • Perform daily and weekly cleaning tasks (equipment wipe-downs, floors, drains, etc.).
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health standards.


Qualifications:

  • Previous café, bar, or hospitality experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong attention to cleanliness, detail, and organization.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods.
  • Flexible schedule with availability for mornings, weekends, and holidays.


Pay:

$16.50hr + Tips
