About the Role
We are looking for a thoughtful, skilled Savory Chef to collaborate with to develop and execute a focused savory program that exists in dialogue with our pastry kitchen. This role centers on creating a tight, intentional menu of sandwiches, salads, and small plates that reflect seasonality, strong sourcing, and a deep respect for ingredients.Â
Core Responsibilities
Menu Development & Execution
- Collaborate to develop and maintain a concise, seasonal menu of sandwiches, salads, and small plates
- Work in tandem with the pastry team to create a cohesive, all day offering
- Build dishes that highlight peak ingredients, proper technique, and clean flavors that compliment our coffees and beverage program.Â
- Adapt menus based on product availability, cost, and seasonality
Kitchen Operations
- Lead daily savory prep and service with consistency and attention to detail
- Maintain clear prep systems and pars to support service flow
- Ensure all food is executed to standard, every time
- Minimize waste through thoughtful ordering and full ingredient utilization
Collaboration
- Work closely with Exec Pastry Chef to share space, equipment, and workflow
- Communicate clearly with Front of House Management to ensure menu understanding and guest experience
- Participate in tastings, menu changes, and ongoing refinement of offerings
Sourcing & Costing
- Uphold standards for ingredient quality and sourcing
- Manage food cost targetsÂ
- Participate in relationships with purveyors a in tandem with Exec Pastry Chef when needed

- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional kitchen environment
- Respect time, labor, and ingredients at all levels
- Contribute to a culture of clarity and calm execution, respect and inclusion.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in a professional kitchen, with a focus on savory cooking
- Strong foundation in knife skills, seasoning, and fundamental techniques
- Experience with sandwiches, composed salads, and small plate formats
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within a small team
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfort working in a fast paced, evolving environment that requires frequent pivoting

Compensation & Schedule
Starting Wage : 60k Salary
Schedule: TBD, Weekend availability required.Â
