High-elevation, washed process El Patio is a continuation of Metric's six year long relationship with the third-generation coffee producing Vides family. Now managed by Maria Elena and Renardo “Nayo” Ovalle, year-on-year the Vides family cultivates large, ripe cherries in the ideal growing conditions of northwest Guatemala. Cool nights, sunny days, and fertile soil give their coffee its balanced fruit notes and pleasant sweetness. Expert processing gives lends structure and clarity.
Together, El Patio is a true reflection of Huehuetenango's distinctive terroir and the Vides family's commitment to quality. In the cup, we taste white currant, golden delicious apple, and sweet lemon.
