Position Summary:
The Barback/Porter supports daily café operations by keeping the bar and service areas stocked, clean, and organized. This role ensures that baristas and front-of-house staff can focus on preparing drinks and serving guests efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stock and replenish café supplies (milk, syrups, coffee beans, teas, ice, cups, lids, napkins, straws).
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, café floor, and storage areas.
- Wash, sanitize, and restock glassware, dishes, and smallwares.
- Assist baristas with prep tasks such as cutting fruit, restocking dairy/alt milks, and organizing garnishes.
- Clear and wipe down tables, counters, and service areas as needed.
- Remove trash, recycling, and compost throughout the day.
- Support back-of-house with deliveries, storage, and inventory rotation.
- Perform daily and weekly cleaning tasks (equipment wipe-downs, floors, drains, etc.).
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health standards.
Qualifications:
- Previous café, bar, or hospitality experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong attention to cleanliness, detail, and organization.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods.
- Flexible schedule with availability for mornings, weekends, and holidays.
Pay:
$16.50hr + Tips
