Grown around the kebele of Raro Boda by a community of local farmers, cherries for this lot are hand picked to select only the ripest. This gives this lot its bold fruit notes and intense sweetness.
At the washing station, this coffee undergoes meticulous processing. First with a 48-hour fermentation in tanks, then a second sorting, finally the fruit is washed from the seeds and sun dried on raised beds. This careful treatment enhances its lively, bright profile and ensures a clean, structured cup.
With tasting notes of apricot, tangerine, and honey sweetness, Raro Boda is a perfect example of why Ethiopian coffees are eagerly looked forward to each harvest.
