This lot comes from more than 700 smallholder producers living in the Raro Boda Kebele of the Uraga Woreda in Ethiopia’s Guji zone. Farmers here cultivate a mix of landrace and locally selected varieties at staggering elevations above 2,000 meters. Each cherry is manually harvested before being delivered to the Raro Boda washing station, where it undergoes traditional washed processing—fermentation, washing, and slow drying on raised beds under the sun.
The result is a cup that feels both classic and striking: expect notes of ripe pomegranate, tangy lemon sorbet, and rich cocoa. Clean, sweet, and vibrant, this is Ethiopia at its most expressive.
This coffee was sourced through SNAP Specialty Coffee, founded in 2008 by Negusse Debela in Addis Ababa. SNAP operates three washing stations in Gedeo and partners with additional sites across Guji and West Arsi. We began our relationship with SNAP in 2022, and we’re proud to continue building transparency and traceability into the way we represent Ethiopian coffees.
