Evin Moreno Gesha is a beautifully complex coffee from renowned producer Evin Moreno, cultivated in the picturesque region of El Cedral, just outside Santa Barbara. This coffee represents the pinnacle of Honduran coffee growing and processing.
Much like the coffee itself, Evin’s approach is one of clarity and intention—dedicating himself to crafting coffees of exceptional quality while continuing on the legacy of the Moreno family.
The result is a cup that’s clean, crisp, and expressive with vivid flavors, unfolding in a way that speaks to both the care and the high standards Evin brings to every harvest.
Evin’s prowess as a producer starts this microlot with a foundation of traditional expressions appreciated in Gesha –floral notes playing over a bouquet of delicate acidity and ripe fruit.
From this starting point, Evin’s expert processing shines. Undergoing a 72hr anaerobic fermentation before being washed and carefully sun dried. This added fermentation step gives the coffee additional depth and nuance, while maintaining its core characteristics.
Balance and complexity define this coffee. Variety and processing work together to create a flavor profile unique to Evin Moreno. His skill is evident in each sips orange blossom, dried strawberry, and oolong notes.
